This is some random advice from my experience with Shadowrun 5th edition.

Grenades

  1. Grenades and Area Effect spells cannot be dodged (except by houserules)
  2. Thrown grenades scatter less than grenades fired from a launcher.
  3. You need 3 hits to get a grenade to land exactly where you want it to.
  4. The Short range on thrown grenades is usually less thank their radius. So, to not get hit by your own grenades at all, you will be at penalties.


Combat

  1. Full Auto no longer explicitly increases damage. Rather, it takes 9 defense dice away from the defender, leaving most characters without the ability to dodge it.  This EFFECTIVELY increases the damage by increasing your possible net hits.
  2. Suppressive Fire uses 20 bullets and Does the gun + ammo's base damage. It also imposes a -2 penalty
  3. Stick n' shock no longer causes a Tasing test
  4. If you take a single attack that does more damage (before soak) than your physical limit, you get knocked down.
